I was born, bred and educated in Massey, West Auckland. After attending Massey High School I studying for four years at Auckland University and graduated with a first class honours degree in computer science in 1997. I was then employed as a web developer at Unitec Institute of Technology where I worked with a team of educators developing several different web sites and training programmes for primary and secondary school teachers in the subject areas of English, Arts and Social Studies. In 2006 I left Unitec to become a full time parent and have enjoyed the challenges and personal growth involved with this, and feel lucky to have had that opportunity.

I recently went back to university to complete several undergraduate and postgraduate papers in data science and statistics at Massey University. I find this field fascinating and at some time in the future I would love to work in this area as I think my computer science background would be a great complement.

Have a look at my Portfolio page for some links to a few personal and educational based projects I’ve worked on over the years that showcase my varied skill base and love of exploring new technologies.
