Thanks for quiz. I've been ex-pat since 1975 and had to guess at Opera in the park (relatively easy deduction), WeetBix Kids (pure guess), sausage sizzle (tough choice, but I lucked out) and Rachel Hunter. She was probably in nappies (diapers over here) when I left enzed.

My 12-year-old son is a Boy Scout, which is a bit right-wing for my tastes. Do you know of any Rover groups in the USA?

I was looking for some information on Swiss Rover Events when I came across the only New Zealand Rover Crew on the virtual platform of our Swiss Guide and Scout Movement: The Waitakere Rovers. Really liked the photo album! Was just wondering who those two mountaineers on the top photo were ...

By the way, I enjoyed Rarotonga very much although I didn't make any new friends amongst the sharks outside the reef. But I saw some funny clown fish, colourful parrot fish, a sea turtle and an eagle ray.
Back in Switzerland, the temperature varies between 23 and 32 degrees which doesn't make it easy to seriously think about finding a new job. Meeting friends, paddling on our rivers and lakes and tramping in our mountains is just too tempting. The job can wait, summer can't and nor can I ...

However, I'll meet some guys of WWF Switzerland tomorrow because the might be able to offer me a job. It's all about environment, young people and communications. Sounds pretty interesting and much like scouting. And after all, I gotta start change the world at some stage. So, I better start tomorrow than the day after.

I searched the internet while the boss was out the office and couldn't help searching out New Zealand. I lived there a year with my girlfriend on a years working holiday and saw the entire country living in both Auckland and Christchurch. When I'm feeling miserable here at work I day dream about my time spent there. I would come there and stay forever if your government would allow. I applied for residancy when I was there and failed by 1 point - I wasn't quite 25 years old. I'm still working on my return. Oh, and I got 17 out of 20 in the Kiwi quiz. Good As Gold.

We were part of Manukau Rover Crew until the end of 95,
which was when we left NZ to live in Oz. It was fun to read
the log book from back then and remember the events we went to
(drag party, iron man, clash of the crews, Roskills cocktail party).

Our deepest condolences to Roskill and all other NZ Rovers on
the tragic death of Malcolm Beggs.

For those that may remember us Geoff was DSL of Manukau district.
He was at many NZ Jamborees. We both attended the NZ Moots of
92, 93 and 94. I also went to the World Moots in Melbourne and Switzerland.

As an ex-pat Kiwi I just had to take the test - only two wrong! Obviously been away too long (nine years) so didn't know Weetabix one but everyone calls kiwifruit "kiwis" over here so got confused! Wish you could send kumara through the post - I miss it heaps and always get my mum to cook me loads when I'm back in NZ. Have grown NZ pumpkins and silver beet in our garden and got my husband (Simon, a Welsh bloke) well into them (esp. pumpkin soup, yum)! Keep up the good work - more fun quiz-type stuff please!

Last night, Saturday, 1st November there was a grand reunion of the 2nd Cleator Moor Scout Group. The group has been going for 62 years and the VERY old boys attended. Many hadn't seen each other for over thirty years. I am patrol leader of Owls and the whole group, Venture Scouts, Scouts, Cubs and Beavers put on a Gang Show for the FAMILY. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, Including my mum and dad.

I thought the quiz was extremely funny, I got all the questions
right but I enjoyed reading the other possible answers. I am a
Kiwi, but I have lived the past year and a half in the UK and you
would have no idea how many sheep jokes I have had to endure,
and how much I missed Hokey Pokey and L & P while I was there.
When I arrived back my friend wrote me a letter and she said she
had had pavlova for dessert and explained to me exactly what it
was and where it came from (Ausralia). I immediately wrote back
and corrected her.

Hey, the pages are great. I'm really impressed. I'm the Secretary of the 14th Australian Moot, being held in 1998 - 99 (check out the Web page if your imterested). It's really good to see all these Scouting people getting onto the Net. I wish my crew had the expertise to do so, but sadly, they are mostly tradesmen, with now knowledge in computers!!! I'm a third year psychology student, who is currently being really slack ( I shoud be on my wya how to study, but...... you know how it is. We've been searching for ages for some info on KiwiMoot and this was the first link we've found useful.
We had a good look at the YeaMoot 98/99 (http://www.yeamoot.net.au) and thought you're site was heaps better set up and sooooooo much easier to read.
Purple on grey is not a good look if you're trying to read it.

I especially like the signposts. But I wasn't happy about the Moot being in Wanganui - I was there for the 5th New Zealand Venture and although nice enough I was really hoping for somewhere in the South Island.

Some info on us....... We're both Rovers (from different Crews) in Victoria and are heavily involved in Mafeking Rover Park.
Hence my nickname.... I'm currently the Environmental Officer for the park - Ranger Hel or Helranger. I'm not really as bad as that makes me sound.

Anyway, congratulations on a fantastic website.

I like this page a lot. And I enjoyed the quiz. I've only
been to New Zealand once (to visit a friend, it was a month-
