Tuesday 3rd November 1914

It was a fine day. Willie was sowing Mangolds in the farm orchard all day.

In the morning I was digging round some apple trees in the this orachard, in the afternoon I was working in the flower garden. In the evening I went down to the village, Mr E. C. Purdie the liberal candidate for Marsden addressed the electors in this Hall. There was a very fair attendance, I was appointed chairman, Mr Purdies whole address was in condemnation of the Massey administration.
