Tuesday 1st January 1918

It was very windy in the morning, but late in the afternoon there came on a drizzling rain.  There was the usual picnic at the Domain, this year it was in aid of the Carnival Queen.  Willie, Grace & Raymond drove over in the afternoon.

Dave fetched his boy Willie from Mrs Dunnings and spent the day at his own place.  I remained at home, cleaned out my office, did a lot of odd jobs and had a bath.
